THANKSGIVING THE SECRET FOR MORE

 Thessalonians 5:18...

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Jeremiah 30: 19...

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

As Christians, we need to count our blessings and name them to see the numerous things the Lord has done for us in life...

We need to understand the working knowledge and principles of God and His kingdom...

We need to understand that giving Him thanks, is the key to every supernatural breakthroughs and more blessings in our life 

THANKSGIVING is a respond to God's goodness and grace upon our lives with gratitude.

Last week, we had learned about the MYSTERY OF THANKSGIVING AND KNOWING THE THANKSGIVING THAT IS WORTH GIVING...

We had learned the different categories of thanks givers and the best time to give THANKSGIVING...

Today, we are-oozing at the secret to more, through our thanks. Hallelujah...

Ideally, it’s a natural thing to feel offended when you don't receive a thank you after doing a good deed for a fellow, it will only take God's grace not to withdraw a helping hand to that fellow...

However, if after extending a hand of blessing and its being appreciated, there's a tendency to do more for him/her...

This is the same way God feels about us, the reason we should learn to appreciate Him always is because His will says so...

When we praise God, we give Him what He cannot give Himself, and this makes Him very happy...

But when a believer fails to thank God for His good deeds He will be grounded...

The attitude of THANKSGIVING in every circumstance is what can push God's favor towards your direction, knowing that you trust Him in all you do; such a man will continually be enveloped in God's presence.

Psalm 92:1-2..

92 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:

² To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

.says that it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing unto thy name O most High, to show..........

The above is what God requires from us, out of us therefore, should proceed THANKSGIVING and not murmuring...

The children of Israel forgot all the benefits that God bestowed upon them...

They forgot all the miracles that God performed for them and began to complain about their present situation...

Exodus 16:2-3...

² And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

³ And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

This is the same with us when we encounter difficulties and challenges; we fail to realize that God will always make a way for us, even where there is no way...

We fail to understand that He is JEHOVAH Jireh...

We forget all the benefits He has given to us in the past and keep complaining rather thanking Him...

Let us understand that He has promised to always be with us and never forsake us...

Nothing can separate us from His love towers...

If we have this knowledge, we will trust Him wholeheartedly and be thankful always to God even when the condition is not favorable...

It is the culture of THANKSGIVING that can move God to do more beyond our prayers and imagination...

We saw it in the life of David and the ten lepers, just to mention but a few...

But when we fail to give Him the glory and recognize Him as the doer of all things, we will be cursed...

This could also be seen in the life of Nebuchadnezzar and King Herod...

Let's pray:

Father, in any way I have made you too small in my eyes, and murmured against you, please forgive me...

WHY GIVE THANKS: 

1. Because it is a good thing...

Psalm 92:1...

 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:

2. It is the debt we owe God...

Luke 17:17

And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

3. it’s the will of God

 1 Thessalonians. 5:18...

  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

4. it’s the secret of multiplication...

Jeremiah 30:9...

 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

5. To preserve our blessings or it will turn to mockery...

Malachi 2:2-3...

 ² If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

³ Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.

ACCEPTABLE WAY OF THANKSGIVING: 

1. Do it quickly because timing is very important...

Luke 17:17

 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

2. Do it cheerfully...

3. Do it with understanding...

Remember this; it is the degree of your THANKSGIVING that will define your acceleration and altitude...

Have it at the back of your mind that we are pilgrims on earth and keep believing in the promises of God just as Abraham did...

We will live our lives with ease and allow God do His best for us... If God be for us, who can be against us.. 

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things will be added unto you. May God bless us as we obey and Comply in Jesus Name...

May the words we have heard today be like a seed planted on a good soil.. 

I also pray that the devil will never snatch it away from us in Jesus Mighty and Most Miraculous Name!!!

Let's pray more... 

1. Lord, please teach me how to be thankful to you all the days of my life...

2. Every crack that I have opened up for any enemy to penetrate my life through my complaining and murmuring;

Father please seal it up with your precious blood in Jesus Mighty Name...

3. Father separates me from every negative influence pulling me out of your will in Jesus Mighty Name!!!
