ACTIVATING STRANGE AND UNEXPECTED HELPS FROM ABOVE.
BY Apostle Dr Patrick Osondu
Text: Psalm 121:1-8
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where
does my help come from?
2 My
help comes from the Lord,
the
Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot
slip—
he
who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed,
he who watches over Israel
will
neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the
sun will not harm you by day,
nor
the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he
will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both
now and forevermore.
Rev.12:15-16
15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.
STRANGE: means something that is unusual and very difficult to explain.
UNEXPECTED:
means surprisingly, unpredicted
We all know that life is full of challenges, and it may manifest
in any sector or facet of our life. But the fact still remains that God is
our refuge, our present help in time of need. Therefore, whenever we call on
Him, He will answer.
Help can come to man in diverse ways, it can be through counseling, advise,
monetary terms, guidance, show of love and comfort, motivation, etc. Whatever
ways you may experience it, its help.
The bible has recorded many cases where God came down through strange manners for his children; people like; Daniel, Joseph, Sarah, Naaman, Peter and many more. All of them had strange and unexpected helps from above. Since all recordings in the Bible are for our edification, be rest assured that the same God who is still in the business of performing miracles and helping His children will equally come for you in Jesus name.
In Psalm 121, God gave us his promises; however the serpent has made it his duty not to allow the manifestation of God's promises in our lives. Therefore it’s our place to keep trusting and believing in God's promises and surrounds ourselves with people who will encourage us and support us as well, during our trying period.
In Exodus 14:10-22, the Bible records where the Israelites test were caught in between the red sea and Pharaoh's army, and they cried out to Moses accusing him of bringing them to die in the middle of nowhere, they looked back to Egypt with thoughts that it was better than where they were heading, but Moses assured them that the battle is of the Lords, and the Egyptian they saw then, will be no more.
Are you facing challenges that makes you feel that God is not with you, remember how He has helped others in the time past, and believe Him, He will do the same for you.
WHAT MAKES PEOPLE GO BACK
TO EGYPT
1. Ignorance
2. Impatience
3. Curiosity
4. Unwillingness to pay the price of obedience
5. Looking back at their past pleasures.
THINGS TO DO
1. Prayer- Acts 12:5-11
2. Look up to God Psalm 121:1-2
3. Stand upon His promises Psalm 121:3-5
4. Depend on God absolutely Psalm 121:6-8
Brethren, God always has a plan, even when it seems He doesn't, His
plan is always unexpected.
God has a thousand ways where we cannot see one, when all our
means have reached their end, then, His own will then begin. Congratulation.
.... Now l pray for you;
As my God Liveth, the
stars, the moon and the sun will bring strange helps for you this month from
many unexpected quarters in Jesus Mighty Name!!!
Amen and Amen
