REDEEMED TO SHINE
BY Apostle Dr Patrick Osondu
Isaiah. 60:1
Arise, shine;
For your light is
come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
Introduction
It takes one allowing his or her light to shine in the midst of darkness to be able to attract men, blessings and redemption to himself and to others. Everyone's speed is dependent on the intensity of light he is exposed to. When a man walks in darkness, or drives in the night with dimmed light, his rate of movement is always slower compared with a one who has a brighter beam. When one shines as light, he does not ignite his life alone, he also lightens the paths of other people around him.
Let's see Matthew 5:14
"You are the light of the world. A city that is
set on a hill cannot be hidden."
The above scripture means that, every child of God carries a radiant gift which should never be hidden. It means we are redeemed to shine every day of our lives over circumstances. It also means, at our appearance, darkness gives way. It means we are empowered to give hope to the hopeless, strength to the weak. Encouraging those who are discouraged and with our light potency, we have to join hands with God to expand His salvific mission on earth through Christ by evangelizing Christ who is the light to the rest of the world.
WHY WE WERE REDEEMED AS LIGHT
1) To show others the way to God.
Isaiah 60:2-3
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
2) To save Gods people from oppression.
Exodus 3:2 And
the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of
a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was
not consumed.
3:7
And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction
of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their
taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
3:10
Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring
forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
3)
To use our light to beautify the place of Gods sanctuary.
Isaiah 60:13
The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
REQUIREMENTS
TO SHINE AS LIGHT
1)
Remove your old garments and step into a holy place where God wants you to be.
Exodus
3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn
aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
3:4
And when the LORD saw that he turned
aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said,
Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
Exodus
3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither:
put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place where on thou standest is
holy ground.
If
we must operate in the realms of the supernatural, we must be prepared to
forego our old lives and embrace the light of God through His word and begin to
live a new life. Our filthy lives are seen as rags before God and such filth cannot
carry the power of Gods anointing and light, therefore cannot shine to attract
men.
We
are for that reason encouraged to understand that Christ loves us, even while
we were yet sinners he died for us to come into the light to shine with him
till eternity.
So
regardless of what you might have been through or what you might have done or
how dark your life seem to be right now,
Jesus still loves and cares for you. He is ready to embrace you and power you
life again with his light so you can shine again. All you have to do is embrace
him today. Give him a chance to show you how much he loves you.
Read:
Isaiah
60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light
by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the
LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Isaiah
60:20
Thy
sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD
shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
If
you are ready to give God a chance, the word of God in
Isaiah
60:4 said
"Lift
up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they
come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed
at thy side.
60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
God
bless you.
I
see your light shinning from today.
your
light shall never go down again in Jesus Mighty Name!!!
