THE ATTITUDE OF A MAN THAT DESIRES PROSPERITY

Genesis 26:12-13

¹² Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.

¹³ And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

INTRODUCTION

 Attitude is a mental or emotional way that one sees, accepts and relays things... 

...Cannotedly, attitude is the general behavior of man on everything that follows him in life...

Attitude is often times being influenced by ones mindset, beliefs, orientation and to a large extent environment.

FACTORS THAT INFLUENCES HUMAN ATTITUDE

 

BELIEF SYSTEM

This has to do with one's mental capacity/capabilities...

...Proverb 23:7...

⁷ For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

Says that as a man thinks in his heart so he is...

 Let's consider the following belief systems of a man that truly desires prosperity

BELIEVE IN GOD 

...John 14:1...

 ⁶ Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

BELIEVE IN SYSTEMS/PEOPLE

This has to do with the social political and economical system of every present environment...

Quest for knowledge

Another Attitude of a man that desires prosperity is his quest for knowledge:

(1)..Spiritual knowledge...

...Mathew 6:33...

³³ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

(2)..Financial knowledge..

(3).. Environmental knowledge..

Another Attitude of a man that truly desires prosperity is good relationship 

...Genesis 8:17...

¹⁷ Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.

Relationship with God...

and

Relationship with man...

The next-is-INVESTMENT ATTITUDE...

....Genesis 26:15-22...

 ¹⁵ For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.

¹⁶ And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.

¹⁷ And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.

¹⁸ And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

¹⁹ And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.

²⁰ And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.

²¹ And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah.

²² And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

Investment in God's vineyard...

Investment in business

Investment in people 

Investing in self-health, education/etc...

 

...TIME MANAGEMENT ATTITUDE...

...Ecclesiastic 3:1-2....

 1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

² A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

And the last attitude we would be looking at today is ...

 

...THE ATTITUDE OF THANKSGIVING...

Philippians 4:6...

 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

CONCLUSION:

It is the will of God that His children do prosper in all they do and He made provisions for all these in His word...

Nevertheless, it is important to note that anyone with a wrong attitude can not have access to God's true prosperity...
