UNDERSTANDING
GRACE
BY Apostle Dr Patrick Osondu
...Romans 5:8...
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ephesians 1:21
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and
dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in
that which is to come:
...1Peter 3:22...
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him...
From these references, Grace is therefore an unmerited favor of God to every humanity...
It is favor and not wages that does not require any striving but your faith in Christ Jesus...
It must be perfectly understood that Grace has a driving force that is no other thing but faith...
And Faith is equally the only spiritual currency that is acceptable for Grace transfer...
And this Faith must also be protected and not to be distracted... And we see this at work between Elijah and Elisha...
"And it came to pass, when the
LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with
Elisha from Gilgal.
And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry
here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Beth-el. And Elisha said unto
him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they
went down to Beth-el.
And the sons of the prophets that
were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the
LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know
it; hold ye your peace.
And Elijah said unto him, Elisha,
tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As
the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to
Jericho.
And the sons of the prophets that
were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD
will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know
it; hold ye your peace.
And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I
pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD
liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
And fifty men of the sons of the
prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.
And Elijah took his mantle, and
wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and
thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
And it came to pass, when they were
gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I
be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of
thy spirit be upon me.
And he said, Thou hast asked a hard
thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so
unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
And it came to pass, as they still
went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses
of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into
heaven.
And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My
father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw
him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
He took up also the mantle of Elijah that
fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
And he took the mantle of Elijah that
fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah?
and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and
Elisha went over.
And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him...
...."2 Kings 2:1.......15"...
It is by faith we accept the works of Christ, follow Him and leave in Him and Him in us...
GRACE is the Godly visitation to humanity... Grace also means DIVINITY dwelling among men
...John 1:14...
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth.
We must understand that the Divinity here refers to Jesus CHRIST...
...John 1:17...
Grace is not an abuse of power or authority nor is Grace disobedient to it...
Rather-Grace-is a gift to complement, stabilize, complete, normalize and to perfect a particular act or activities... Grace is the strength of all authorities as well as powers...
Grace does preach Power and Authority and equally stabilizes system or patterns...
Grace is the strength that carry out instructions and duties without being armed by any Authority or powers...
...Roman 3:21-24...
21 But
now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by
the law and the prophets;
22 Even the
righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all
them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Paul understood and experienced Grace more than any other apostles...
And this was demonstrated many times in the bible, from his conversion till he finished his works he demonstrated and enjoyed Grace...
Paul's ministration in all round epistle never show forth by his physical power or intectuality, but Grace birthed it...
He was one of the last apostle that
followed Jesus Christ while he was physically on the earth...
In one of his ministration he began to glory in Grace and he said...
..."But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the Grace of God which was with me....
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed"...
1 Corinthians 15:10-11...
10 But
by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me
was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but
the grace of God which was with me.
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
By this you will understand that Grace is the preserver and multipliers of human strength irrespective of color, beauty or ugliness...
Grace has more functional abilities than any-shock-observer.. May you fine Grace in times of need in Jesus Mighty Name...
Finally we understand that Grace can be transferred and it is also equally contagious...
Now for more clarification, let's see this;
" Now after the death of Moses
the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the
son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
Moses my servant is dead; now
therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land
which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
Every place that the sole of your
foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
From the wilderness and this Lebanon
even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites,
and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
There shall not any man be able to
stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be
with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Be strong and of a good courage: for
unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware
unto their fathers to give them.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest...
...Joshua 1:1-7...
1 Now after the
death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to
pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses'
minister, saying,
2 Moses
my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all
this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of
Israel.
3 Every
place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you,
as I said unto Moses.
4 From
the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates,
all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of
the sun, shall be your coast.
5 There
shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I
was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Be
strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an
inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
I therefore pray for you today to be
blessed by Grace that will make you to
function more than others in all areas of your life in Jesus Mighty and Most
Miraculous Name!!!
